Frequently asked questions

What happens on an OSSeva discovery call?

A discovery call is a 45-minute technical and commercial scoping call with an OSSeva solutions engineer. We'll review your technology stack, identify which versions are at EOL or approaching EOL, discuss your compliance requirements and audit timeline, and understand your current operational model. By the end of the call, you'll have a clear picture of what OSSeva coverage would include and what the engagement would cost.

How quickly can OSSeva deliver a proposal after a discovery call?

OSSeva delivers a written proposal within 5 business days of a completed discovery call. The proposal includes a scope of coverage, service tier recommendation (Patch, Assure, or Operate), engagement timeline, and pricing. For urgent situations — such as an imminent audit finding or active CVE exposure — we can fast-track a proposal within 24–48 hours.

Is there a free trial or proof-of-concept period?

OSSeva does not offer a free trial, but the discovery call and proposal process is designed to validate fit before any commitment. We can provide sample compliance documentation, reference CVE attestation letters, and reference calls with existing customers in your industry as part of the evaluation process.

What information should I have ready for the discovery call?

To make the most of the discovery call, it helps to know: which open-source technologies and versions you are running in production, which versions are at or approaching EOL, your primary compliance frameworks (SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, DORA, ISO 27001, FedRAMP), and whether you have an upcoming audit or certification deadline. You do not need to have this all ready — the discovery call is designed to surface this information together.

Does OSSeva work with regulated industries?

Yes. The majority of OSSeva customers are in regulated industries — financial services (banking, payments, insurance), healthcare (providers, payors, life sciences), and government/defense. OSSeva Assure is specifically designed around the compliance requirements of these industries, with documentation packages that satisfy PCI DSS QSA, HIPAA audit, SOC 2 Type II, and DORA ICT risk requirements.
