Why teams stay on Redis 6 and 7.2
Redis upgrades are usually easy technically. The reasons to wait are commercial and legal.
7.2 is the last BSD-licensed Redis
Redis 7.4 moved to RSALv2 or SSPLv1, and Redis 8 added AGPLv3. Organisations with an AGPL ban or a hosted product built on Redis often cannot take a newer Redis at all.
