Apache Camel end of life dates
Apache Camel 4.22 (LTS) is the newest release line, at 4.22.1 (13 Sept 2026). 2 lines are still supported upstream: 4.22 and 4.18. 45 lines have reached end of life, most recently 4.21 on 11 Aug 2026. 4.18 is next, on 17 Feb 2027. OSSeva ships patched builds for end-of-life Apache Camel 4.8, 4.4, 3.20, 3.14 and 2.25.
Apache Camel publishes two Long Term Support (LTS) releases a year, and each LTS line gets a year of patch releases with CVE and important bug fixes. Non-LTS releases in between get no patch releases at all, so the LTS lines are the ones meant for production.

Running an end-of-life Apache Camel version?
OSSeva keeps end-of-life Apache Camel patched with signed builds and backported CVE fixes, documents it for your auditor, and can run it for you, so the upgrade happens on your schedule rather than the project’s.
Apache Camel extended supportApache Camel end of life: common questions
How long is an Apache Camel LTS release supported?
One year. Camel's LTS schedule gives each LTS release a year of patch releases with CVE fixes and important or critical bug fixes, and the Camel download page shows the end-of-life month for every supported LTS line. With two LTS releases a year, the newest two LTS lines overlap for part of that year.
Do non-LTS Camel releases get security fixes?
No. Camel's release policy says non-LTS releases do not get patch releases, so a CVE found in a non-LTS version is fixed only in later releases and in the active LTS lines. Running a non-LTS Camel release in production means upgrading to a new minor every time a fix you need lands.
Is Apache Camel 3 end of life?
Yes. The Camel project announced in December 2024 that Camel 3 reached end of life at the end of 2024, and the Camel 3 line is no longer supported. Applications on Camel 3 need a migration to Camel 4, or third-party support, to keep receiving CVE fixes.
What is the latest Apache Camel version?
4.22.1, released 13 Sept 2026, on the 4.22 (LTS) line. Other supported lines: 4.18.
When is the next Apache Camel end of life?
Apache Camel 4.18 reaches the end of bug and security fixes on 17 Feb 2027. After that date the project stops shipping security fixes for 4.18, and CVEs disclosed later stay unpatched upstream.
Which Apache Camel versions are still supported?
4.22 (until 11 Aug 2027) and 4.18 (until 17 Feb 2027). Every other line has reached end of life, per the dates in the table above.
Can I get security patches for an end-of-life Apache Camel version?
Yes. OSSeva ships signed builds with backported CVE fixes for Apache Camel 4.8, 4.4, 3.20, 3.14 and 2.25 after upstream support ends, on the Patch, Assure and Operate tiers, so you can stay on the version you run while you plan the upgrade.
