Running an end-of-life RabbitMQ version?

OSSeva keeps end-of-life RabbitMQ patched with signed builds and backported CVE fixes, documents it for your auditor, and can run it for you, so the upgrade happens on your schedule rather than the project’s.

RabbitMQ extended support

RabbitMQ end of life: common questions

Which RabbitMQ versions get community support?

Only the most recent release series. Under the RabbitMQ community support policy, patch releases, security fixes included, are produced and published for a series while it has community support. Once it leaves, new patches go to commercial customers only, with a possible exception for very high severity CVEs. The table above shows both end dates per series.

Is RabbitMQ 3.13 end of life?

For open source users, yes. Community support for RabbitMQ 3.13 ended on 30 September 2024, and 3.13.7 in August 2024 was the last public release. rabbitmq.com lists commercial support for 3.13 until 31 December 2029, so any later 3.13 patches go to Broadcom customers only, and 3.13.7 runs only on Erlang 26, which is itself end of life.

Is RabbitMQ 4.0 end of life?

Yes, on both tracks. Community support for RabbitMQ 4.0 ended on 30 April 2025, with 4.0.9 as the last open source release, and rabbitmq.com gives 30 September 2026 as the end of commercial support. A 4.0 cluster therefore has no vendor patch path at all and needs an upgrade to a series that is still supported.

What is the latest RabbitMQ version?

4.3.6, released 14 Sept 2026, on the 4.3 line.

When is the next RabbitMQ end of life?

RabbitMQ 4.3 reaches the end of community support on 30 Nov 2026. After that date the project stops shipping security fixes for 4.3, and CVEs disclosed later stay unpatched upstream.

Which RabbitMQ versions are still supported?

4.3 (until 30 Nov 2026). Every other line has reached end of life, per the dates in the table above.

Can I get security patches for an end-of-life RabbitMQ version?

Yes. OSSeva ships signed builds with backported CVE fixes for RabbitMQ 4.2, 4.1, 4.0, 3.13, 3.12, 3.11, 3.10, 3.9 and 3.8 after upstream support ends, on the Patch, Assure and Operate tiers, so you can stay on the version you run while you plan the upgrade.
